Watercolor - Print Size: 18 x 24
This striking watercolor illustrates how beautifully Alicia could paint ocean waves breaking on the beach and rocks with puddles and pieces of seaweed. You can almost hear the wave breaking on the beach in front of the rocks. Another large ocean swell is poised to break in the middle of the painting. Alicia painted this while sitting on Nahant Beach just north of the city of Boston, Massachusetts. Nahant Beach is known as the top beach closest to Boston with great body surfing and temperate ocean water in the prime months. One can observe how she clearly illustrated the John Hancock and Prudential Buildings looming in the afternoon Boston skyline. The Winthrop Beach is across the bay in the left corner of the watercolor and the city of Revere in the far right distance.
