This stunning and very large oil painting was completed by Alicia Stonebreaker one year before her sudden passing in 1976. When she painted this beautiful artwork, she was happily married to the Judge John Connarn who was born in Brattleboro, but spent most of his life in Northfield, Vermont. This painting was displayed for years in the sitting room of The Margaret Holland Inn, Northfield, Vermont. Alicia's most famous works were of oils and watercolors. This outstanding oil painting illustrates the depth of her immense talent and was completed at the height and pinnacle of her wonderful career. Note that she signed the painting, Alicia Stonebreaker Connarn. She was married to the Judge for three years and would use this signature when she painted in Vermont, away from her art studio in Brunswick, Maine. Brattleboro, Vermont, is located in the southeast corner of the state, along the state line with New Hampshire and Massachusetts. It is situated along the Connecticut River and is the oldest town in the state.

The giclée prints are produced on high quality archival materials: Breathing Color Elegance Velvet Platinum Fine Art Paper - A 310gsm, bright white, fine art paper with a lightly textured vellum surface; a 100% cotton fiber paper offering a better color gamut and D-Max than any other velvet surface paper on the market.

Stretched Canvas Prints

We offer 3/4" solid hardwood stretcher bars with back staple. Prints are on Breathing Color Chromata white , acid free, cotton-poly blend matte artist stretch canvas. All stretched prints are protected with a matte finish archival UV varnish. If you prefer semi gloss or gloss please let us know.

Matting and Framing

If you prefer to have your giclée print framed and matted by our Gallery please let us know. We will provide you with a fair price and adjust the shipping charges to reflect the mat, frame, and glass. We would be pleased to perform this work for you.

Certificate of Authenticity



Each “Limited Edition” giclée print will have a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). This is a legally binding contract between the artist (gallery) and the purchaser of the giclée print. All “Limited Edition” giclée prints will have:

1.) A secure certificate summarizing the details of the edition, the series number, and information on the original and the giclée reproduction.

2.) Holographic serial number affixed to the back of the giclée reproduction. This serial number will match the number printed on the actual Certificate of Authenticity.

“Open Edition” prints will be provided with a signed certificate specifying the type of archival paper and inks used in the giclée reproduction process.
