Watercolor

This is a beautiful watercolor painting by the noted Maine artist Don Thayer. The ocean swells and rugged coastline are dramatically contrasted by Don. This Maine coast scene is popular around the Reid State Park area near Bath, Maine. Don was a very well known and respected Maine artist. One of his great watercolors was featured on the front cover of the July 1962 Down East Magazine. Alicia and Don were close friends and often painted together on location.
