Fisherman’s Mamorial, Monhegan Island Maine

Giclee print from the original watercolor by artist, Alicia J. Stonebreaker

The watercolor painting “Fisherman’s Memorial, Monhegan Island Maine” by Alicia J. Stonebreaker portrays a rugged coastal scene with a wooden cross adorned with a life preserver as the focal point, standing atop rocky outcrops near the shore. The ocean stretches out with gentle waves, featuring a lone sailboat gliding under a partly cloudy sky dotted with seagulls, adding a sense of solitude and peace. The artist’s loose, expressive brushstrokes blend earthy tones with blues and greens, capturing the wild beauty and quiet reverence of this memorial site.
