Winter Valley View, Northfield, Vermont

Giclee print from the original watercolor by artist, Alicia J. Stonebreaker

The watercolor painting “Winter Valley View, Northfield, Vermont” by Alicia J. Stonebreaker captures a cozy yellow house blanketed in snow, nestled among bare trees and a solitary evergreen in a serene winter valley. The house, with its sloped roof and dormer window adorned by a festive lantern, stands warmly against the cool, misty backdrop of rolling, fog-shrouded mountains rising in the distance. Delicate layers of gray and purple hues in the sky and hills evoke a hushed, overcast afternoon, with subtle snow drifts adding texture to the foreground. Through her masterful use of translucent washes and soft edges, Alicia conveys the quiet magic and isolation of a New England winter retreat.
